OUR STRAWBALE HOUSE PLANS - WEST ELEVATION
The west elevation can be quite problematic for a sustainable design as the late day sun during both the winter
and the summer is very low. In summer this sun is still quite strong and can easily cause overheating where
there is glass. For this reason windows should be minimized on the west. Where windows fitted
to get some natural light it is desirable to use deployable blinds or plant deciduous trees
